Get help with fact-checking videos, credits, sharing from TikTok and Instagram, notifications, and account issues. Viewpoint analyses short-form social videos in under a minute and returns a source-backed verdict.

What Viewpoint returns
- Truth Score — 0–100 reliability score

Method A — Paste a link (Home tab)
- Open Home
- Paste a video URL (or tap Paste from clipboard)
- Tap the submit arrow
- Watch the analysis pipeline or dismiss and get notified
- View the full report — it’s saved to History

Default share-extension behaviour: submit the check, auto-dismiss, then send a push notification when done. Confirmation text depends on check type: “Check sent” for Basic checks, “Deep check sent” for Deep checks.
Home tab community feeds
The Home tab surfaces public community content — Trending Checks and Viral Fake Videos — so you can explore what others have fact-checked.
Instant and cached results
Re-checking the same URL can return instantly when a stored result already exists. Personal replay (you checked that exact URL before) returns without running a new analysis or charging an extra credit. A global cache hit may still charge a credit the first time that result is accessed on your account.
Method C — Review past checks (History tab)
- Browse, filter by platform, sort by date or score
- Search your history — keyword search with Basic credits only; AI semantic search requires at least one Deep credit
- Tap any entry to reopen the report

Deep
Full analysis: transcript plus visual/keyframe analysis (~30s).
Basic
Transcript-only — faster and lighter.
1 credit per analysis. Deep is used first when available; otherwise Basic is used automatically. Credits never expire. Packs are one-time consumables, not subscriptions.
New users on the free tier get 10 free Basic checks (“Continue with 10 free checks”).

In the Credits sheet you can convert 2 Basic = 1 Deep (and reverse).

Restore purchases re-syncs your credit balance from the server — not a re-download from Apple. Messages: “No purchases to restore.” or “Could not restore purchases.”
Streaks
Viewpoint tracks daily check streaks with timezone-aware logic. You can freeze an active streak window by spending Basic credits. Milestone rewards may grant bonus credits when triggered.
Understanding your report
Verdict labels: True · Mostly True · Mixed · Mostly False · False · Unverifiable
Truth Score colours: 70–100 green (likely reliable), 40–69 orange (mixed/uncertain), 0–39 red (likely misleading).
Report sections (top to bottom): Score + Verdict (with optional Factual Accuracy and Influence sub-scores on Deep reports) → Summary → Claims → Influence tactics → Keyframe analysis (Deep checks only) → Details → Share bar (save image, share, Ask AI).
Deep vs Basic analysis depth
- Keyframe analysis (Deep checks only) — Visual frame-by-frame analysis is only included when the check runs as a Deep analysis. Basic checks are transcript-only. Run a Deep check (uses 1 Deep credit) to unlock keyframe analysis — even if you have paid credits, a Basic check will not include keyframes.
- Claim depth — may vary by analysis type. Deep checks include fuller visual context; Basic checks focus on transcript claims.
Ask AI copies a prepared prompt (transcript, claims, and keyframes) to your clipboard or share sheet for an external AI app. Viewpoint does not run follow-up AI chat in-app.
Every analysis gets a public web link at veiwpoint.tech/[id] that anyone can open — no app required.
Account & sign-in
Sign in with Apple only — required to finish onboarding. It syncs credits and history across devices. Viewpoint never sees your Apple ID or email.
There is no guest mode. The share extension and full app require a completed setup.
- Sign out: Settings → Sign Out (type “delete” to confirm)
- Delete account:Settings → Account → Delete Account (type “delete”). Your account data (credits, badges, synced history) is deleted immediately. Public analysis links you've shared may remain viewable — they are no longer linked to your account. See our Terms and Privacy Policy.

Notifications
Notifications let you leave the app while a check runs — one push per completed analysis. No ads and no daily prompts.
Onboarding copy: “We'll let you know when it's ready” and “Heads up — your fact checks will land here when they're done.”
If you deny notification permission, the app still works — check History manually. The share extension falls back to Live mode.
Notify me when ready: if notifications are disabled, the app shows: “Notifications must be enabled for this to work. Go to Settings to enable notifications.”

Videos are analysed server-side for the job and are not stored beyond processing. Viewpoint does not sell or share your data.
Photos permission is add-only — Viewpoint saves analysis cards to Photos for sharing.
Troubleshooting
Viewpoint is an AI fact-checker for social videos. It analyses transcripts and key frames to surface misleading claims, influence tactics, and a Truth Score — usually in 15–45 seconds.
TikTok, Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts, X (Twitter), Facebook, and Snapchat.
Paste a link on the Home tab, or share a video from another app to Viewpoint. The share extension is the fastest option — submit the check, keep scrolling, and get a notification when it’s done.
New users get 10 free Basic checks to start. After that, buy credit packs anytime. Credits never expire and purchases are one-time — not subscriptions.
Deep runs full analysis: transcript plus visual/keyframe analysis (~30s). Basic is transcript-only — faster and lighter. One credit is used per check; Deep is spent first when available.
It keeps your credits and history synced across devices. Viewpoint never sees your Apple ID or email.
Open the main app and complete onboarding plus Sign in with Apple. In the source app, go to Share → More (…) and enable Viewpoint. You may need to re-enable it after reinstalling the app.
Sign in again. Your token may have been cleared after a 401 response.
Buy a pack, redeem a promo code, or use Share for 1 free check (once per day). Restore Purchases re-syncs your balance from the server.
You've hit a usage limit on the free tier — this is separate from running out of credits. Buy credits or try again later.
Paste a direct link from a supported platform — TikTok, Instagram Reel, YouTube Short, X, Facebook, or Snapchat.
The video may be private, deleted, geo-blocked, or restricted by the platform. Try a public video.
Check your internet connection and tap Retry.
The result TTL has passed. Tap Analyse again.
Checks can run for up to ~5 minutes. Enable notifications, tap Notify me when ready, or check History later.
Restore re-syncs your server balance. Consumable credit packs are not re-downloaded from Apple.
Wait for receipt verification, tap Restore Purchases, and confirm you’re signed in with the same Apple ID.
Pull to refresh, reopen the app, and confirm you’re signed in.
Users with only Basic credits (0 Deep) get keyword search locally. AI-powered semantic search requires at least one Deep credit.
Onboarding isn’t finished. Tap Open Viewpoint and complete setup plus Sign in with Apple.
